£1.5m uniform contract for Kwintet's Simon Jersey

Altham-based Simon Jersey has secured a new contract with facilities management firm OCS, worth £1.5million over two years.

OCS is a specialist in day-to-day property services, including catering, cleaning, horticulture, hygiene and facilities management, giving Simon Jersey a wide range of job roles to cater for, such as cleaning staff, security, chefs and management.

Simon Jersey is part of the Kwintet group which has a $700million turnover and is the market leader for corporate clothing in Europe. The uniform specialist designed and will supply a full range of outfits for 15,000 employees of OCS, across all areas of the business.

"To see how an item sits and drapes on the body, and how it is affected by movement can be an important consideration, and may well be the persuading factor in securing a sale. We want to give our customers the best chance of getting the exact product they desire, and this is a further step to do just that."

Simon Jersey had been hoping to work with the Surrey-based company for some time. The new deal was the result of a successful tender bid.
