We are proud to announce that Simon Jersey has been awarded with the contract to transform and supply the uniform of global facilities services company ISS. We have designed an entirely new range, which is set to be rolled out to more than half a million ISS staff across the globe over the next 18 months. As part of the deal we will also manufacture and supply the uniform direct to 19 countries across Europe for the next five years.
Simon Jersey was awarded with the contract after demonstrating our innovative design approach and operational capacity to manage a complex, multinational rollout.
It has taken nearly a year of planning and design work with Copenhagen-based ISS to create the uniform of more than 100 garments, for job roles varying from front-of-house, to caterers and housekeeping staff, with the introduction of a new technical services range expected in the coming months. The process included consultation with ISS staff on their preferred fabrics and styles as well as wearer trials across Europe.
The final uniform was unveiled to senior ISS staff members at a fashion show organised by Simon Jersey in Paris earlier this year and the process of rolling out the uniform began in November.
James Saunders, managing director for Simon Jersey, said: “This is a hugely important contract for us to have won and a great recognition of our design, manufacturing and operational capabilities. We are well used to dealing with complex rollouts for multinational organisations and the contract with ISS is one of our biggest ever briefs.
“Our in-house designers have worked hard to create a uniform that unites the many different job roles within ISS and helps to enhance their brand. We’re very pleased with the feedback we’ve had so far and look forward to working with the team over the coming years.”
Nicolai Birch, regional procurement director for ISS, said: “The new workwear provides great fit, functionality, quality and above all, ensures a sense of pride and belonging amongst our employees.
“It is a stamp of our culture, brand and professionalism and in essence, underlines our one brand, one company, one culture mentality. At the same time, we have a strong focus to consolidate to a few preferred suppliers, which enables us to leverage volumes and ensure the right balance between quality and cost.
“We look forward to working with Simon Jersey over the contract period as one of the valued and preferred suppliers.”
