ISS Is one of the world’s leading facilities management companies with half a million staff working in all kinds of sectors. We began work with them in 2015, designing a range of nearly 100 garments that could be rolled out across the globe.

With job roles varying from front-of-house to technical services and groundskeepers it was an extremely complex project for our design team. We needed to create a range that unified everyone as one team and looked good on every body type imaginable. Their inspiration was the ISS ellipse from the logo, which is carried through every garment. We worked closely with the ISS head office team in Copenhagen, consulting with them on preferred fabrics and styles and organising wearer trials across Europe.

Once complete, the uniform was unveiled to staff at a managers conference in Paris which was also screened live to staff at ISS locations around the world.

We currently manufacture and supply the range to 19 nations in Europe and more recently have also won the contract to supply the ISS teams in North and South America.

What they said…
Nicolai Birch, regional procurement director for ISS, said: “The new workwear provides great fit, functionality, quality and above all, ensures a sense of pride and belonging amongst our employees.

“It is a stamp of our culture, brand and professionalism and in essence, underlines our one brand, one company, one culture mentality. At the same time, we have a strong focus to consolidate to a few preferred suppliers, which enables us to leverage volumes and ensure the right balance between quality and cost.

“We look forward to working with Simon Jersey over the contract period as one of the valued and preferred suppliers.”
