Simon Jersey has launched a fantastic new initiative to help you to show your support to Team GB ahead of Rio 2016.
The company is supplying formalwear to the athletes and the outfits they’ll wear in the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games. It is now running a social media competition urging people across the UK to #TakePride in our national team.
To join in all you need to do is literally take Pride, the team’s mascot, on a trip, holiday or to a favourite place and take a picture with him. Then just post the picture on Twitter or Instagram using the #TakePride hashtag.
Pictures of Pride are available to download and print via the Simon Jersey website here or you can buy your very own Pride plush toy on the Team GB shop. Spot prizes will be given by Simon Jersey for the best pictures received before the end of the games on 21st August, including signed Team GB merchandise. James Saunders, Simon Jersey managing director, said: “We really want to show all of the athletes how much support there is back home when they’re away in Brazil. “We’ve already received some fantastic pictures of Pride everywhere from London to Edinburgh. We’re now really keen to see how far we can #TakePride in Team GB across the world.” To take part, simply take a picture with Pride and upload it to Twitter or Instagram, including both the #TakePride hashtag and @SimonJersey.
