New look for hospice staff after uniform donation

The nursing team at Rossendale Hospice have been given a fresh new look for 2017 after a uniform donation from Simon Jersey.

The hospice appealed for help replacing their uniforms after hearing about how the company supplied Team GB for last summer’s Olympic Games.

Many of our staff live near Rossendale and know about the support the hospice offers the community. We have helped with a new uniform from our healthcare range, replacing the team’s old uniform which was up to seven years old.

We’ve given them tunics in colours that easily help patients and their families to identify different members of staff. We’ve also provided other garments including trousers and a waterproof jacket for the hospice’s driver.

James Saunders, Simon Jersey managing director, said: “We were well aware of the fantastic care and support Rossendale Hospice offers to local people.

“It’s very important to us to support local causes wherever we can. We hope that the team enjoy wearing their new uniform.”

Irene Smith, Chief Executive at Rossendale Hospice “It is great to see everyone kitted out and looking so very professional. To have been gifted the uniforms from Simon Jersey is a huge bonus, not just from a professional perspective but financially.  We can invest the money saved into providing treatment and care to our patients and their families”.
