You asked and we have listened! We are pleased to announce the latest product innovation from Simon Jersey, the Lightweight Healthcare Tunic. Containing the features you would expect of a Healthcare Tunic, the everyday essential is now available in a lighter weight of 145gsm vs the original 195gsm.
Washable at 60 degrees, the Tunic is constructed of infection compliant fabric and is quick-dry as standard, ensuring your uniform is fresh day after day.
Available in four colours; navy, hospital blue, royal blue and sky blue, the Tunic will include features such as two inset pockets, a waterproof breast pocket and a soft collar neckline. Finishing on the mid-thigh, the Tunic can be paired with an array of medically suitable trousers.
The Lightweight Healthcare Tunic was developed after feedback from website, key account and field sales customers. It was clear following the UK Summer heatwave in 2019 that a lighter weight fabric for Tunics should be sourced to support Healthcare employees on a busy shift.
Product Development Manager, Lynne Anderson commented, ‘The key feedback from employees was that they wanted a lighter weight fabric that contained all the technical features of the original Healthcare tunic. Internally we worked to ensure we met the requirements needed to support a Healthcare worker, with the much lighter weight of 145gsm’.
