Simon Jersey has become the first uniform supplier to join the Institute of Customer Service.

The company has made the announcement to celebrate Customer Service Week (2nd-6th October).

Simon Jersey is the first workwear company to join the institute, providing its 50,000 customers with the guarantee of excellent service whenever they communicate with the company.

To become members, Simon Jersey’s customer service processes must be audited by the institute to check it upholds the very best standards.

All Institute of Customer Service members must pledge to uphold the organisations principles. These include continual investment in staff and listening to, and acting on, all customer feedback.

Through its membership Simon Jersey will also have access to knowledge sharing, research, professional development and accreditation.

Simon Woods, head of customer service, said: “Customers should expect great service whether they are buying for themselves or their business. We’re thrilled to be the first uniform supplier to join the institute.

“It demonstrates to everyone who deals with us that we are committed to delivering great customer care and listening to their views. We are already benefitting from membership through sharing ideas with other clothing retailers and are looking forward to providing our team with access to training opportunities.”
