Fix up and suited sharp, at Simon Jersey we recognise that a great fitted suit can make you feel confident, professional and ready to take on anything life throws at you.
This is why we decided to team up with Birmingham based charity, Suited for Success, with a donation of shirts and blouses to support their clients as they take steps into employment.
Suited for Success’s motto is simple; they practically tackle the barriers of unemployment men and women in Birmingham face as they enter employment. They do this by offering free suiting options to referred clients that have a guaranteed job interview.
We reached out directly to Suited for Success with a range of smart clothing options for men and women, and Patricia White Chief Executive of the charity, had several clients lined up ready to receive the Suiting.
Patricia commented: ‘Xantia was referred by a youth homeless charity and had her job interview on the same day we supported her. After a short interview coaching session, Xantia was dressed in a lovely grey trouser suit together with a Simon Jersey white ladies shirt then put in a taxi straight to her interview’.
Our donation also helped Anthony who was off to an interview at the local authority. Patricia states: ‘Only 5 weeks previous he was sleeping rough behind a city centre library before being supported into accommodation and helped to find work. Anthony was dressed in a lovely navy suit complimented by a Simon Jersey light blue shirt ready for his job interview’.
Patricia continues: ‘We want to thank Simon Jersey for supporting Suited for Success to ensure unemployed men and women make that first impression count in a job interview’.
