Following its acquisition of Oasis dental in 2017, Bupa Dental Care took the decision to rebrand and supply all staff with new uniforms and one unified look. The acquisition plays a significant part in Bupa's strategy to offer customers high quality dental services across the UK, to over 2 million patients at over 400 clinics.
Bupa came to Simon Jersey in 2018 to understand the possibilities of a new uniform, and undertook feedback with their staff to consult on new uniforms for practice managers, front of house teams and clinical staff.
They selected the blue contemporary suiting range, as seen on Team GB in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, for their front of house and management teams, and added bespoke touches to all of the formalwear garments, further ‘bupifying’ the range.
Bespoke Bupa blue lining has been added to the back of the female skirts and dresses, and tabs with the Bupa logo have been added to all formal garments making them unique to Bupa staff. Brand coloured accessories have also been added to the range to bring together the full look, including belts, scarfs and ties. All clinical teams will see a refresh of Dickies scrubs, with the options of navy and blue in female and unisex fitting garments.
Following a wearer trial of the selected uniforms across three practices in the North West of England, the final tweaks and alterations were made to the range by taking into account all feedback from staff trailing the uniforms.
The final range was then selected, and we managed a corporate photoshoot at the St. Ann’s practice in Manchester, with Bupa staff modelling their new uniforms for a uniform wearer guide to assist all staff with their ordering process. Ordering will take place in Summer 2018 ahead of the business roll out later this year.
