Story Of Our Design

Due to the success Simon Jersey had kitting out Team GB with formalwear for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, we are honoured to have been asked to once again provide formalwear for 200 members of Team GB at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games. At Rio we focused on providing uniform that would flatter all the athletes no matter their shape, and this is a philosophy we have carried over into our designs for the athletes at PyeongChang 2018. Adding the colours of the British flag, and a subtle Team GB logo to the specially selected garments from our new contemporary suiting collection, we have curated a high-quality collection that will keep everyone looking like winners.

The male athletes will be wearing the contemporary slim fit jacket in blue, with the matching waistcoat, with a white shirt and a woven red tie that has the Olympic rings and lions head emblazoned on it. The female athletes will be dressed in a red three-quarter wrap top, with slim leg trousers in blue and matching jacket. All the contemporary suiting range is designed with Polyviscose material that provides comfort and flexibility, but also stands the test of time. This exciting collection will add a touch of sophistication to every team.

It's the same collaborative approach we apply to all of our customers to ensure we develop a uniform that everyone looks and feels great wearing.

Team GB said

“There is a lot of work that takes place behind the scenes to ensure that every athlete is as prepared as they can be going into a Games. This includes what they wear, be it on the ice and snow or indeed off it."

“Simon Jersey has led the way in developing Team GB’s formalwear which works for a wide range of athlete needs, whilst providing a look which we are proud to wear in front of the watching world."

“As a TeamGB delegation we look forward to this opportunity at PyeongChang 2018.”
